This policy explains how Polarity Electrics, trading as Polarity Lux ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal data when you enquire about or book a lux testing survey. We are the data controller for the information you provide.
Who we are
Polarity Lux is a trading name of Polarity Electrics, an NICEIC-registered provider of illuminance (lux) compliance surveys across London and the South East. You can contact us about privacy at info@polarityelectrics.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry and booking details you submit through our forms: your name, email address, optional phone number, the service or sector you are interested in, and any information you include about your site.
- Communications you send us by email or through our booking provider.
- Limited technical data (such as IP address) processed by our hosting and form providers for security and spam prevention.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
- To arrange, carry out and report on a lux survey.
- To keep records of work carried out and comply with our legal and insurance obligations.
Our lawful bases are your consent (when you contact us), the performance of a contract (when you book a survey), and our legitimate interests in running and securing our business.
Who processes your data
Enquiry submissions are handled by Netlify Forms (our website host). Live bookings are handled by our booking provider, Setmore. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and survey records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements, after which they are securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. To exercise any of these, email info@polarityelectrics.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
