These terms govern the supply of lux testing and illuminance compliance surveys by Polarity Electrics, trading as Polarity Lux ("we", "us"). By requesting a quote or booking a survey you agree to these terms.

1. Our services

We provide illuminance (lux) measurement and compliance reporting against recognised standards, including BS EN 12464-1/2, BS 5266-1, BS 5489-1 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. Surveys are advisory measurement services; we are not the enforcing authority and do not grant licences, ratings or approvals.

2. Quotes and prices

Prices shown on our website are fixed starting points and exclude VAT. The price for your survey is confirmed in writing before work begins, based on the site, floor area and number of zones. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Bookings and access

Bookings are confirmed once we agree a date and scope. You are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the site and for ensuring the areas to be surveyed are available in their normal operating condition. Appointments cancelled or rearranged with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a charge.

4. Reports

Each survey produces a report of measured illuminance against the relevant standard. Readings reflect the conditions present at the time of the survey. Reports are provided for your use as compliance evidence; any decision to act on remediation recommendations remains your responsibility.

5. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 14 days of the report being issued. We reserve the right to withhold reports until payment is received and to charge interest on overdue amounts as permitted by law.

6. Liability

We carry out surveys with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any survey is limited to the fee paid for that survey. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Intellectual property

Reports and website content are the copyright of Polarity Electrics. Referenced British and European Standards remain the property of their respective publishers.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
